Our ambassador rider Eventer Daisy Berkeley, is an incredibly experienced eventer, having contested many world class events, and being a former British Open Champion and winner at the prestigious Blenheim horse trials. A British eventing team stalwart, Daisy has medals in all three colours from the European and World Championships, as well as the Olympics.
Derriere Equestrian Sponsored Rider Daisy Berkeley is an event rider and alumni of British teams, including the 2008 Olympics, where the Brits placed third. Daisy is an experienced eventer with top rides having included Springbok and Spring Along. She has a promising string of youngsters that she is currently producing.
“Derriere underwear is fabulous; discreet and very comfortable,” Daisy says. “The breeches are extremely smart and very flattering. Excitingly, I have started to get into yoga. When I heard that Mark Todd is quite a follower, and remains supple at his age, I thought I would give it a go! It has made a great difference to my core strength, balance and flexibility. When I combine this with my wonderful Derriere clothing, I hope to have that edge we are all looking for, so roll on next season!”
Daisy says “Derriere underwear is fabulous; discreet and very comfortable,” Daisy says. “The breeches are extremely smart and very flattering. Bear in mind also that a good sports bra is essential, in order to both carry and open the shoulders, and not focus on any discomfort caused by breast movement,” Daisy concludes.
Laura’s early competitive career started with Tymo and Holsteins Wellness (Aero) who she competed Nationally and Internationally for Great Britain at Pony FEI level. Bex launched Bex Mason Showjumping in 2010 after many years breaking in and competiting at an international level with past Olympians such as Tina and Graham Fletcher (GB), Ludo Philleaperts (BEL), Steve Cohan (NZ) and Viki Roycroft (AUS).
Bex Mason Showjumping produces horses for competition and sales for clients. The ultimate aim is to be able to finance herself for a life with horses.
Bex is no stranger to long days and longer weeks. From the age of 6 Bex has played, lived and breathed horses. Throughout the long UK winters Bex will always be first to the yard at 5am and the last to leave. This commitment to horses and her lifestyle has taken her many places around the world and will continue to do so long into her life.
She recognises that attention to detail will reap rewards in the long run. Bex has embarked on a ‘Rider Performance Programme’ in conjunction with experts at Hartpury College with the sole aim of gaining every possible performance advantage by ensuring she can offer not only technical skill, but peak physical performance when riding all of her horses.
Bex has been fortunate enough to develop relationships with some of the world’s best showjumpers. These mentors have worked with Bex for a number of years and assist her in keeping focused, setting realistic goals and being pro-active in getting to the top of her profession.
Bex says of Derriere Equestrian:
“As I look to the future I am re-structuring my business to allow my ultimate objectives to fall into place. It’s becoming super clear where my focus needs to be. Claire Galer, Managing Director of Derriere Equestrian is a true inspiration as a business owner. To watch her focus, drive and passion proves that dreams and success can be achieved when there is a belief and targeted action at their seat. I know that Claire developing Derrieres for riders is an outstanding revelation within the whole riding industry.
Every morning my ‘jods’ do not go on without a pair of Derrieres beneath. Without realising, I’ve made this my routine and genuinely panic if I can’t find my Derrieres! I’ve been totally blemish free from the grind of 9 horses daily. Whether I’m a tad hot and bothered or cold and damp, no conditions have caused discomfort while wearing them.
So, a couple of rumours I’m putting to rest ‘does my bum look big in this?’ the padded panty’s and shorty’s really are incredible. I’ve had people say.. ”You can’t be wearing your Derrieres you don’t have a J-lo bum!” ha, they are so so discreet and totally hidden from view, feels like sitting on a soft cushion with absolutely no bulk. No other product comes close in the comfort stakes. These combined with the Treviso Training Breeches are the perfect combination for the colder days ahead. I’m certainly not worried about winter #doublederriere!

Before Olivia could even walk she was riding, but she would say her passion for Dressage started around the age of 13. From a very young age Olivia knew what she wanted to do with her life and even though the path hasn’t always been a straight forward one, that vision has never changed.
Aged 16, she left school to work on a professional yard. The knowledge and experience gained there was priceless, spurring Olivia on to learn more and more. She was privileged to represent Team GB in Juniors and Young Riders, an experience she will never forget.
With the support of her incredible parents, Olivia started working on her own yard based in Ledbury around the age of 18. She was lucky enough to train with Charlotte Dujardin for almost 3 years before meeting her current trainer David Pincus. David has had, and continues to have, a huge impact on Olivia’s knowledge and understanding of training horses.
Teaching has always been a big part of Olivia’s job, but she have decided to push it the extra bit more. Now striving to help people see their full potential, really focusing in on a positive mindset.
Olivia joined the DE Riders Model Team in 2016, having become a finalists and one of the 3 winners of the Derriere Model of the Year Competition, Olivia is a firm follower of the Derriere Equestrian Brand. In early 2017 Olivia put a great amount of effort into creating a fantastic “Loo Book Video” for Derriere Equestrian, Paragon Equestrian and Olivia’s own brand #YouGotThis
Lindsay Graham is an Irish event rider who has competed up to three star level, show-jumped to 1.35m, and is a renowned producer and coach, teaching riding club and pony club teams for eventing, dressage and show jumping. Over the past two years, she’s had first placings at Annaharvey Horse Trials with Shanbeg Pandora in the 90cm, as well as at Lisgarvan House’s prestigious HSI Mares five and six year old Championship with one of her top rides, Graf Maypole. Lindsay has also had several recent top ten placings at one star level with both Graf Maypole and Clooncalagy Knight. Lindsay was the well-deserved Derriere Equestrian ‘Face of Ireland’ Derriere of the Year (DOTY) Winner for 2016 /17.
Lindsay says Derrieres have changed her riding “Heaven to ride in. Achieving a healthy, mobile back to optimise your riding position is all well and good - but what if you are riding your horse or pony ‘defensively’, in order to avoid personal discomfort in your nether regions?! Discomfort can be caused by a hollowing of the back, or a general immobility in the lower back, which causes a forward-tipping motion, and sometimes by wearing underwear beneath your breeches that has stitched seams. “It is important to be able to mobilise your pelvic area, to really use your seat effectively. Consider padded underwear like items from the Derriere range; remember, when the rider is comfortable in the saddle, there is less likelihood of compensatory misalignment of the spine and pelvis. I spend hours on end riding horses, so to be comfortable in my riding attire is so important to me,” Lindsay continues. “For example, the Derriere breeches have great stretch and comfort, while the Derriere padded panty is just heaven to ride in!”
Hanna Murray has joined team Derriere Equestrian for the 2017/18 season and we are delighted to have Hanna on board. Hanna was classified for Paradressage in march 2015, before that competing in “normal” classes. Rode in the Swedish Championship 2016, finished fourth in then grade II.
Hanna is a 26 years old who has been riding since she was 5 years old. Hanna suffers from a neurological illness, the nerves do not send the signals as they should. This gives Hanna weak lower legs and lower arms. Hanna is competing as much as she can, although there are not a lot of Paradressage classes in her region in Sweden. She competes in all other dressage competitions instead.
Hanna;s horse: El Mazarron is a star! 15 years old and the kindest you could ask for! He has been with Hanna for three years and they are getting better and better together! Hanna’s goal this season is to finish higher in the Swedish championship than last year!! Now in the new grade III

Avril is very active within Dressage Ireland and known for a little fun and humour. Currently training with Rodrigo Matos and Ferdie Eilberg – Avril also train with Olympic Rider Judy Reynolds when she is available and Sandra Blake-Farrell. Avril is based in the very beautiful Dollanstown Stud, Kildare where there are several other amateur dressage riders and some professional eventers. Dollanstown is owned by event rider Caroline Bjoerk (neé Sharp) she produces event horses and does thoroughbred sales preparation.
Avril’s introduction to Derriere Equestrian:
“As you know from the blog post that I did for Collette, I love Derriere Equestrian Underwear as they really have taken the pain out of riding for me. I am a mother and once you’ve had one kid you begin to feel the need for a little more protection down there. It was Collette Ward that informed me about your products and asked me to write the blog post for her. I also really believe in the product and think that rider discomfort is not really addressed enough in this area… saddle related discomfort is what put my husband off riding horses more”
Andrew is a British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Elite Recreational Coach who has just started competing again after a break of over 20 whilst his kids had all the fun! Derriere Equestrian are delighted to be supporting Andrew in his BHS Ride India Challenge with #Derrieres behind him all the way.
Derrieres enabled Andrew to get back riding in comfort. Andrew says “Although they can't take me back 20 years they are helping me compete at the same level as in youth making me realise that regular pants are a think of the past for my time in the saddle!
BHS SM Cert Ed FE,

Coral Keen is a 27 year old event rider based near Devises in Wiltshire who has a passion for horses and sport. Her defini-tion of success is to know that she has done the very best for the horses she rides in eventing at whatever level they are and for the long term.
Coral’s family is entrenched in horses, and it was her grandmother who first put her on a pony before she could walk. Her great aunt is Marion Mould who famously rode the pony Stroller to so many showjumping victories. Coral began affiliated eventing aged 15 and when she was 17 decided to make eventing her career, giving up her training to be-come a nurse. Since then she has notched up consistently good results. Her team of horses include Wellshead Fare Opposition (Derby) who is on the Equine Pathway, Total Belief (April), Cascadelle (Lola), Highmead Proposition (Jake), Aph-rodisiac (Pluto) and a handful of very excit-ing homebred youngsters.
She writes about her life as a professional event rider every fortnight for Horse and Hound Online.
Known as ‘The longest and toughest horse race on the planet’ and featured in The Telegraph, Cosmopolitan, The Daily Mail and National Geographic, the Mongol Derby is a gruelling trek covering 620 miles through Mongolia, following the historical route of Genghis Khan. Only approximately 40 people take part in the race each year, and they are often hours away from the nearest medical help. The riders sleep under the stars and are limited by what they may carry.
The horses are semi-wild Mongolian horses. Horse welfare is, of course, paramount and the riders change to fresh horses every 25km.
Derriere Equestrian is proud to be sponsoring several British riders of the Mongol Derby.
Sarah has riding in her blood, and has worked in the equestrian decade. Daniel may not have riding in his blood, but he certainly has adven-ture, being part of the first team to climb a pre-viously unclimbed mountain deep in the Vene-zuelan jungle. Daniel and Sarah are raising money for Cool Earth and Azafady, charities that share a common goal of protecting endan-gered environments through sustainable in-come streams.
Sophie is a 30-something Anglo-Belgian veter-inary surgeon specialising in horses, and Sian is a 30-something English paramedic who now works in Hospital Emergency Planning. Both have previously worked as crew members in the Mongol Derby so are fully aware of the implications of the race, and are self-proclaimed ‘bonkers’. They are fundraising for Agronomes et Vétérinaires Sans Frontieres, a French charity helping livestock farmers inter-nationally group together to combat animal diseases, and for Frenchay After Burns Chil-dren’s Club, an independent charity supporting the rehabilitation of young burns survivors across the South West of England.
“I started taking lessons in dressage and showjumping at the age of nine and learned to ride Icelandic horses when studying to be horsetamer, riding instruc-tor and farrier at Holar University in Ice-land. With my husband I now run an Ice-landic horse farm in Norway. Mostly work-ing with young horses, competing has not been a priority for me… until I signed up for the Mongol Derby.
That's when the search for the very best riding underwear started. I found Derriere through recommendation from other Mongol Derby riders. I have now tested the underwear on a 4 day trail ride. I am very pleased with the padded pants, they make a big difference when spending long days in the saddle. I am so happy I found Derri-ere and I am definitely going to wear the padded pants during the forthcoming Mongol Derby."
